What we build
A small studio for iOS apps — tools for the path you are on, at any age.
fiomira builds iOS apps for the path you are on — tools for the things a person keeps at, at any age: practising arithmetic, holding a habit, collecting rare words. The first one is Math Primer — a learning app for the first steps in mental arithmetic, set against a quiet blackboard. With a children's app like this one, a family is a natural place for it: children with their parents, on the same device. More apps follow in the same line, small, self-contained tools — some of them more for grown-ups, each one for working at a single thing.
We work slowly. An app ships when it is finished, not when a quarter ends. Each detail is built until it feels right in the hand — the sound of a tap, the spacing between number and line, the moment when one problem disappears and the next one arrives. That care is the only form of advertising we use.
fiomira is a one-person studio. What is made here passes through a single pair of hands, and that is by design. We make a small number of apps, carefully, for people who want to use their devices deliberately. Staying small is the plan, not a phase on the way to something larger.
What guides us
- Apps are paid for, not advertised.
- What happens on the device stays on the device.
- An app should stand on its own.
- Built by a parent. What is made here comes out of a real family routine — what helps in the morning, what gets in the way after school — not out of a market study. That origin is the studio's starting point, not a selling point.
- Buy once, keep it. fiomira apps are paid for once and belong to the buyer afterwards. What works today still works in two years, without a period that runs out.
- An app is a tool. A tablet can be a tool, the way a pencil is a tool — picked up when there is something to do, set down when the thing is done. fiomira builds apps that want to be used that way. The closed app is as much part of the design as the open one.
- Something is allowed to grow. A small, clear beginning can become something larger — the solid dot that opens into a wider ring. Growing is earned: it comes from staying with a thing, returning to it, practising it on the days it would be easier not to. An app of ours makes the distance a person has come visible without turning it into a score, a reward, or a thing to lose.
- For the individual. Everyone who uses an app of ours has their own progress, their own state. Where an app is used in a family, several profiles sit side by side on one device, and parents have a calm area where they can read up on how things are going.
- Plain to look at. The surfaces are reduced because reduction is what makes focus possible. One task per screen, one clear next step, nothing around it that pulls attention away.
About us
fiomira was started in 2026, when the studio needed a name for the work that was already under way: the development of Math Primer, a learning app for primary-school arithmetic. The name is Latin — fiō mīra, "wonders come into being" — and describes what the studio does, piece by piece. Something emerges, quietly, without fuss.
The studio is run by one person. Design, code, words, the blackboard in the background — all go through the same hands. There is a reason for that: what stays small can stay precise. The apps that follow will be made in the same posture.
